We got married on the 3rd August 2019 and initially we were unsure we wanted toastmasters but we can’t express how pleased we were that we did and also how lucky we were to have Nikki and Jonathan. 

They looked after us incredibly well throughout the duration of the entire day, ensuring that we were enjoying our special day and not fretting about the logistics, as we were confident that they had it covered.  They made sure that we both always had food and drink; in particular a special plate of canapés, preventing us from missing out on the food we chose as we were greeting our guests.  Plus it was safe to say that our glasses were never empty all day - Rachel blames Nikki for her hangover!

Nothing was too much for them as they were both incredibly conscientious.  They ensured that the wedding party was suitably attired, from attaching the buttonholes to helping Rachel with her dress.  When several of our guests were covered in fluff from blankets that were used during the evening safari, they rushed off to find a lint roller.  It was those small touches that really meant a lot and showed how much they cared for everyone there.

Our guests have mentioned to us on so many occasions how helpful Nikki and Jonathan were in helping them check in for their on-site accommodation and sorting out their bags.

It was also mentioned to us that they must be magic as they directed our guests to Port Lympne from the church, our guests left before them and then Nikki and Jonathan were already at Port Lympne ready to greet them.  This meant that the close wedding party could remain at the church for our photos without worrying that our guests would be unattended at the reception venue – they were always in safe hands.

When it came to our special day, we had some very tight timings that we knew we would be worried about and thought that we would have to push everyone along, but Jonathan and Nikki took all of our stress away by ensuring they were in constant dialogue with us even before the wedding day.  This allowed us to concentrate on spending the time with our friends and family rather than worrying about how long we had until the next celebration.

They were nothing but professional, friendly and highly skilled and our incredible memories of the day couldn’t have been made without everything they did for us.  We couldn’t be more grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone getting married.

Dear Jonathon & Nikki,

Where do we begin and what can we say!!

These two are the most amazing couple who are an absolute must at any wedding.

From the first meeting we had with them both Paul and myself felt so comfortable with Jonathon and Nikki and immediately felt that they would take care of everything and that our day would run smoothly.  They both have the most wonderful calming nature that makes you feel you could trust them with anything.

You see our wedding had a little twist as well, the guest's thought they were coming to a Summer Party, not a wedding.  We wanted to keep it casual and relaxed with no worries about outfits and hats or speeches or bridesmaids wearing dresses they didn't want to be in.  So even as the guests arrived at our amazing venue of Port Lymphne Hotel and Reserve they weren't to know.  So I, the bride, appeared in a normal summer dress and the groom in trousers and shirt.  All the doors were shut to the ceremony and wedding breakfast room and Jonathon & Nikki were dressed as safari rangers so no-one knew they were actually toastmasters.  They had been a great help with suggestions of how we could do things to keep the secret going for as long as we could.  I carefully disappeared up to my room to get changed and then Paul disappeared to put his waistcoat and jacket on.  My poor Dad had ended up in A & E at 6am on the day of the wedding and of course thinking it was just a party was just saying "it's ok I'm alright and we will be there but a bit late so just start without us"!!  Which of course I didn't want to do as I wanted Dad to walk me down the isle - even though he didn't know he was doing it!  But Nikki & Jonathon (and the hotel staff) were amazing - arranging food and a cup of tea for him for when he got there (being in A & E and having a two hour drive to the venue had meant he had had no breakfast), it was the hottest day of the year

28 degrees) but they made sure the whole situation was calm, the ceremony delayed until he felt ok to come out of his room, they kept me calm and at no point did I feel any stress - just a bit worried about Dad but everyone assured me he was ok.  They even looked after Dad again a bit later as he had a bit of a funny turn with the heat and probably all that had happened that day by taking him to his room for a lay down.

We had so many comments from our guests about how amazing they were, how friendly, fun, organised and on the ball with everything.  They made sure Paul and I had water to drink through the heat of the day, as well as bubbles too of course!  And we really felt that we could just leave them to ensure all the little details were taken care of.

We really can't recommend these two lovely people enough, you honestly wouldn't be disappointed if you have them as part of your Wedding Day, they will ensure that everyone is happy and everything is running smoothly, and if anything doesn't go quite to plan you would barely know as they will take care of it. They are so easy to get on with and really make you fell that your day is how you want it to be with just some helpful tips along the way.

We wish them both the very best and look forward to talking to Nikki about our next holiday (she is a Travel Consultant as well!)

Hi!

I want to say how incredibly grateful we were to have Nikki and Jonathan as our toastmasters on our special day. We had 125 guests in the day and can honestly say, it would have been an unorganised mess if it wasn’t for them! Even my Nan says ‘those in the red jackets made so much effort with me and helped me loads’. Now just hearing that from my Nan makes me realise straight away we made the right decision in asking them to be our toastmasters.

Not to mention Nicks ushers wouldn’t have a clue what to do or where to start! I was so worried about how stressed out I thought the day was going to be for me, but having Nikki and Johnathan there to calmly guide us through the day really did put me as ease, in fact the only part I was stressed at was right at the beginning getting ready - and they weren’t hired for this part!

My highlight was walking down the aisle and seeing them both standing there with our favourite drink in their hands at the end - now if that isn’t 5 star service, I don’t know what is!

They didn’t just make the day a lot more organised, they made the day all about Nick and I. The one thing it should always be.

Thank you so much to you both and we certainly will never forget the effort you put in for us and our friends and family.

Sorry it's taken so long.. wishing you both a fantastic 2019.

Originally we had not thought we would need toastmasters for our wedding as we didn't want a very formal affair, however Jonathan and Nikki were an absolute Godsend!

Nikki was the first person to come and see me on the morning of our wedding to make sure I had everything I needed and to ensure I knew what was going to happen before and during the ceremony.  She had also gone to see the groom and ensured him and the wedding party were all ready - the suit co had forgot to include the handkerchiefs for the suit pockets, so Nikki worked her magic with napkins!  From start to finish Nikki and Jonathan ensured we were all where we needed to be, that the wedding was running on time, that guests were looked after and that myself and the groom were ok.  Their style is relaxed, friendly and very professional and I have to say they ensured our day went smoothly and to plan!  I don't think the day would have gone so well without them! They are fantastic!

Both Jonathan and Nikki were extremely professional but also approachable throughout the day and it made a huge and positive difference having them there. They went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service and we truly appreciate everything they did for us on the day. They helped relax us as they kept guests informed of the day’s events and many guests from the day contacted us after the wedding with numerous compliments directed towards the pair! From helping to organise our guests for the group photos to standing out in the wind and rain to direct our guests onto the safari trucks, it was clear that nothing was too much for the pair. Jon and Nikki were our toastmasters on 14th Sept, Port Lympne, before the wedding, Jon and I spoke on the phone for a hour to go through the plans of the day, he was very detailed, and made sure he got everything written down, which helped ease my nerves, knowing I was in safe hands.  They were absolute stars on the day, helping get us ready, making sure everyone knew their roles, keeping an eye on the time, and moving around 135 day people to where they needed to be.  Nikki even supported the photographer in helping get the lighting right for some of the romantic photos.

We were so appreciative of everything they did, and they were a joy to be around with so much energy and enthusiasm, the guests loved it when they came out in safari ranger gear before we went on the trucks.  Would highly recommend them.  Thanks

We couldn't have done it without them both, and the day ran so smoothly due to the fantastic service provided, they made our day so relaxed and i honestly felt so lucky to have found them. Every single guest commented on the day and after about how helpful both Jonathan and nikki were, from helping the children with an easter egg hunt, to making sure our great nan was comfortable all day. They had so many supplies with them that when my father in laws cufflink broke nikki had a spare pair on hand!
 
I would say that booking 'your toastmasters' was easily the best decision we made throughout the whole wedding and i continue to recommend them to every soon to be married couple that i meet.
 
The uniqueness of having a married couple help us on our wedding day was so lovely with thier one in a million service.

Our wedding was at The Yarrow Hotel in Broadstairs on 27th May 2018 and the largest one this venue had ever held with 120 guests attending the wedding breakfast.
We thought that we would feel more reassured if we had Toast Masters in attendance and very luckily for us we found Jon and Nikki.
From the minute they came to see us at our home their incredibly friendly and organised manor gave us the reassurance we needed and that so many of our worries and concerns would be taken care of.
On the day of the wedding they were just superb with Jon looking splendid in his red jacket welcoming all the guests when they arrived. Jon was just the perfect gent helpIng people out of their cars with a welcome smile and just made the whole start to the day have that really upmarket feel.
Nikki was busy organising all our button holes and ensuring our pocket squares looked just perfect. Doing all this while continually checking on the bride and bridesmaids just to make sure everything was going to plan.She then escorted them all down the stairs in the right order so they came outside and up the aisle looking incredible and making the most amazing entrance
Organising the drinks at the reception to overseeing the musician, to ensuring every photo we had pre arranged was taken, everything ran like clockwork and nothing was missed.
Jon and Nikki also recommended a fantastic DJ for us and a superb characaturist.
 
Before we met Jon and Nikki I was under the impression that Toast Masters just simply announce you into the room and organise speeches etc. We were so wrong having now seen what Jon and Nikki do, how much pressure that take off you. We can honestly say that we don’t know how weddings run without them.
Everybody loved our wedding day the complements we have had have been amazing and we know we wouldn’t have had such a fantastic day without the help of our Toast Masters.

We were so impressed with the way you helped us on our special day and in your extra effort to squeeze us in for our meeting when you were already fully booked in the height of peak season.
Such effort in going the extra mile was again evident throughout the whole wedding day when we could see how hard you both worked, not only in making our super packed day run so smoothly but also in making sure both our guests and ourselves were always so well looked after! Many guests have since commented on this to us personally.
More even than that, we both noticed how much you seemed to take a personal interest, Jon for example you asking us more about our Chinese tea ceremony so you could better prepare and present your introduction and Nikki always by our side to not only make sure we didnt forget to eat and drink during the busy photoshoots but even taking and sending us your own shots! Believe me, some great ones here that are much appreciated in our long wait for the professional shots!
In conclusion, it is no surprise to us just how highly people speak of you but what impressed us even beyond the clear professionalism, in a wedding with alot of moving parts, was the personal touch.

Nikki was an absolute life saver on my wedding day. There were a few things that went wrong, the hairdresser forgot to pin in my veil and my wedding dress ended up being far too long at the front that I kept treading on it all the time. I was really stressed but Nikki kept me calm by her mannerism saying “it’s fine! I can pin up up your dress for you ... it’s fine ! I can do your veil for you “
I honestly wouldn’t know what I would’ve done without her. I’ll always look back and remember how much of a great help her and Jon were.

Judges loved how much work was put into supporting couples for a completely smooth-running day – from the vast collection of handy extras that they bring, through to their seamless interaction with guests, venue and couple. We were delighted to have been toastmasters for Maria and Keith at Preston Court. Such a wonderful wedding for a lovely couple.

From the moment I met Nikki & Jonathan they made me feel completely at ease & were great listeners. They wanted to know every tiny detail of mine & Keith's wedding day & no request was too big, which gave me great confidence! As the day approached they both contacted all the suppliers & checked in with us both to reassure that the day would be exactly how we envisaged.
On the day they were just as amazing! Nikki recovered my flowers which got sent to the wrong room, they helped the florists broken down van, gathered family for photos & just kept everything running on time. My family all commented on how great they were & both fitted with all the guests. Our day was incredible & I would highly recommend Nikki & Jonathan to any budding brides & dubious grooms they really are worth every penny and also such lovely people too!

Wow wow wow ... such an amazing wedding day for animal lovers Ann and Simon

We had such a great day being their toastmasters at Port Lympne Mansion & wildlife park.  It was also the first time we have been asked to be in the whole guest photograph!

We never really thought about having a toast master for our wedding. We just presumed it would all just work out on the day, but it was probably the best decision we made hiring Nikki and Jonathan.

 

We met them at Port Lympne's Wedding fayre in 2015 and were so impressed with their professional approach and they were genuinely interested in hearing all about our plans for our day without being pushy.

 

We were that impressed, that the next time we visited Port Lympne, they were also there again for another wedding fayre. We walked over and they had remembered all about our plans and we had a lovely chat again. That night, we decided we had to have them at our Special day.

 

They literally made the day stress-free, were amazing with all our guests and became "Safari guides" on the trucks when we went on our trip after the wedding breakfast around Port Lympne. They even dressed up too!

 

We whole-heartedly can recommend them to add fun and joy to any occasion as well as making it run smoothly. Thank you both so much!

Nicki and John were absolutely fantastic toastmasters who really made our day extra special. They made sure every last detail was perfect and nothing was too much to ask. All of our guests commented on how great they were throughout the day especially elderly family members as they both went above and beyond to ensure that they were comfortable and had everything they needed. Nicki was there all day with me (bride) making sure that everything ran smoothly as was John with the groom. They were both great fun to be around due to their kind personalities and really made us both feel at ease.

Such a magical day for Hannah and Neil at Port Lympne Mansion

From caricaturists, magicians, wax hands and of course a safari the wedding guests were certainly entertained.  Such an honour to have been part of this fabulous wedding.

From the first contact with Jonathan and Nikki they were amazing. We didn't know what to expect from a Toastmaster, but they performed all their duties to a superb standard. They ensured our wedding ran smoothly, from the small things like ensuring our little boy had a bottle of milk and having cotton & thread to carry out some dress running repairs on the day, through to organising everyone and making sure we didn't need to worry about anything at all.

 

At our pre-wedding planning meeting they took note of all of our different timings, requirements and details of all our variety of different entertainers on the day to ensure everything was just perfect. And we are pleased to say it was.

 

On the day we couldn't have asked for anything more, upon arrival Nikki ensured that the groom's cravat was nice and neat, along with our best man and ushers to ensure we were all looking just right. Then following that they were on hand to guide us through our day, and also allow the Best Man to enjoy his day! We couldn't have asked for anything more.

 

All of our guests were extremely complimentary, and we couldn't recommend you more highly to friends, family and even strangers who might be getting married.

The couple had supplied all guests with wonderful masks as a clue to the surprise safari around the reserve.

When I first found out people had toastmasters at their wedding I didn't even know what we would need them for but... WOW what grand organisation, you were truly more than we could have ever asked for/ They were there to dress the groom, arrange the flowers for the guests, spot of babysitting, put us and guests at ease and help an elderly Auntie.
You really did go above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed every second which we really did, it was the most amazing day and I could not have asked for anything more!

We were delighted to have been toastmasters for Wendy & Simon Smith at Port Lympne Mansion House

The newlyweds performed a perfect sabrage before their wedding breakfast on the terrace at Port Lympne Hotel.

Nikki and Jonathan thank you for all your help on our wedding day and the advice you gave us before the big day. It was everything we wished for and more, your presence gave us both a feeling of reassurance and confidence from making sure the groom and groomsmen had correctly tied cravats, securely pinned button holes, assisting the bride and bridesmaids to greeting guests and just being there for anything that was required nothing was too much trouble.

 

It was an amazing day with the weather on our side Port Lympne is a beautiful location especially when the sun is shining. We are sure the day would not have run so smoothly without you both. Your support with the formal photos was a great help to our photographer Emma. The Sabrage added an extra special touch to the day, thanks to your expert guidance our guests were all amazed. Your change of outfits for the safari was also great adding a touch of fun to the event.

 

Anyone planning their wedding should defiantly consider hiring a toastmaster and if you choose Nikki and Jonathan you will not be disappointed it was one of the best decisions we made, they are professional yet very approachable.

Their son and bestman had the room in fits of laughter during his speech whilst their daughter read a beautiful poem just before the newlyweds released butterflies.  A perfect day despite a little rain!

Dear Nicki and Jonathan
Thank you, so much for making our day so special.

Nicki and Jonathan, were an amazing support from when we had our first meeting right the way through to and throughout our wedding day.  They liaised with the venue and offered very valuable advice for the plan for the day and speeches.  They listened to what we wanted and advised when we were unsure.
There were times throughout the day when Nicki and Jonathan went above and beyond, especially Nicki going under my dress to put my shoes on for me! Nothing was too much trouble.
On our day we had a lot of rain but Jonathan and Nicki were there with us in the rain while we had our photographs, carrying my dress to keep it from getting ruined and provided an umbrella too.
They supported the photographer with the group photo's, making sure everyone was where they needed to be.
Nicki and Jonathan are true professionals, who clearly love their job, We can't thank them enough for everything they did for us. Nicki and Jonathan made our day truly amazing.

Jonathan and Nicki were an incredible support on our wedding day. I literally can not imagine our day without them. I really had never thought about having a toast master at our wedding and didn't understand what their actual role would be. We saw them at a wedding fayre doing the sabrage and thought that this would be a fun lovely idea. Once we got chatting to them both, and saw how enthusiastic and lovely they were we booked them there and then. Having them both there was just perfect, no other toastmasters could have possibly have come close to what they did for us. They were with us in every possible way without being intrusive, they were discreet but were aware of everything going on. Our wedding was unique in that it was spread over three venues in two different towns 30 minutes apart they navigated it brilliantly, co ordinating our guests and ensuring everyone arrived on time and somehow magically arriving before everyone at all the venues. Despite only meeting them on a few occasions prior to the wedding day they felt like they were part of the wedding party, it wasn't like having two strangers with us, they were relaxed, supportive, and friendly. It wasn't just us that thought so either all of our guests commented on what a nice touch it was having them there. They went to both houses in the morning to make sure all the button holes were on correctly, they co ordinated the photos, ensured that the elderly guests were guided and sat down safely, they directed all of the bridesmaids and flower girls down they isle, they found lost flowers and so much more! The support they offered not just us but all of the wedding party was incredible I could not recommend them enough, the decision to hire them both at the wedding was an easy one but literally on of the best ones we made.

We hired Nikki and John Curran on a personal recommendation to host our Art Auction to raise money for the Margate Mayor’s Fund.  They did a terrific job, were extremely organised and efficient, professional at all times, delivered with a sense of humour and importantly assisted us in raising funds for our charities. Nikki helped in getting most of the pieces sold including a painting by the Mayor to raise funds and received much positive feedback from our guests. I would highly recommend Nikki and John as smart, very professional operators.

We employed Nikki and Jon to organise a surprise 60th birthday party for my mother-in-law. From planning to delivery they were both professional and enthusiastic. We met before the party and discussed our needs. Jon and Nikki then used their vast knowledge and experience to put together a party package tailored to us. They also purchased all the food and drink on top of preparing the venue prior to the event. On the day they took all of the stress out of 'hosting' away from us . Leaving my wife and I to enjoy the day with my Mother-in-law, friends and family. No detail was overlooked, even letting the birthday girl sabrage the birthday cake. Due to Jon and Nikki's efforts the day was a truly memorable event. The only downside to all of this is that an party organised by us in future will struggle to reach the incredibly high bar set by Jon and Nikki. My wife and I can not recommend Jon and Nikki enough.

I was planning a Leap Year proposal and a friend suggested I should contact Nikki and Jonathan, although I was unsure why I would use a Toastmaster for a proposal.  I had put no real thought into what I was going to do, Nikki, very quickly, came up with a string of ideas.  All of which were great but we had to consider the weather and the personalities involved.  Although we opted for something low key but it was low key with style.  They made sure everything was organised, they communicated everything really well and the attention to detail was outstanding.  They really did go the extra mile.

To the most fantastic toastmasters in the world, we can not thank you enough for helping us on our special day, you took away all our worries months before our wedding and made us calm but excited, on the day you were nothing but perfect, all our wedding guests said it was the best wedding ever,

The Fun Fly at T.G. Aviation has always been our best event but you guys improved it and the feedback has been fantastic. I know I am good at hiding it but the pressure on me to ensure it all goes off safely is immense. Being able to delegate tasks knowing they will be done better than I could is brilliant. Maybe 1 a month next summer!

Dear Nikki and Jonathan, 

I just would like to thank you for the fantastic support at our wedding anniversary. It would not have been the same without you and it is such a shame you were not a toastmaster couple when I got married as although the day was perfect then, it would have been sublime with you there as well. 

All my guests have commented on how pleasant it was to be guided where to park their cars, where to enter my garden, and most importantly where they could keep their drinks nice and chilled on such a fantastic day. Some people even made a comment saying “only at Natalie’s and Peter’s he he?” Pure class and so relaxed and pleasant at the same time.

I can only say that future clients have made the right choice and will have a stress free day ahead of them. 

Next big party we host, you will be the first we call. I have also attached some pictures as a souvenir.
